This segment introduces a convenient method to invite participants to a video meeting using Google Calendar, in conjunction with Google Meet. To start, ensure that Google Meet is open on your computer. Proceed by clicking the “New Meeting” button on the left side of your screen, and then select “Schedule in Google Calendar.” This action will automatically open a Google Calendar event, which already includes the necessary link for others to join your video meeting. The next steps involve adding specific details to your event and saving it. Begin by clicking on “Add title” and entering a title that succinctly reflects the purpose of the meeting. For instance, if your meeting is about planning a celebration, you might label it “Celebration Planning Meeting.” To set the date, click on the date field, and a small calendar will appear for you to select the desired day. Then, choose the start and end times for the meeting by clicking on the respective time fields. To invite participants, click “Add guests,” type in their email addresses, and press “Enter” or “Return” after each address. If there are no other participants, you can simply enter your own email address. After adding all the details, click “Save.” A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to send an email invitation to your guests. Select “Send,” and the invitees will receive an email to RSVP for the meeting. If they have Google accounts, the meeting will also be added to their Google Calendars.

You have the flexibility to access and modify this event at any time by opening your Google Calendar and clicking on the event. This allows you to make changes and check who is planning to attend. For those wanting to deepen their understanding of Google Calendar, the lesson titled “Google Calendar for Beginners” is an excellent resource.
