Restaurants aren’t always the safest places. In fact, nearly 2.8 million injuries occur in the US service industries every year. There are plenty of hazards to watch out for, including knives, stoves, broken glass, and so on. Thorough health and safety training will help to prevent injuries.
However, if and when they do occur, it’s best to be prepared. For minor injuries, always have a fully stocked first aid kit at hand, and make sure all of your staff know its location. For serious injuries, call an ambulance immediately. It may even be worth taking part in a first aid course as the manager of a restaurant.
