Question: How do you handle a disagreement with your boss?

a. Stay humble and never admit how right you were. (Even if you were right!)

b. Use an example where you found productive compromise.

c. Eve-n if your plan was dismissed, explain how you still contributed to the end result.

Example: Before our current management, we had a boss who was less experienced with coding and more focused on the bottom line. For instance, he would set unrealistic goals that we would fail to meet. While I respect his decisions, I ended up discussing these deadlines with our senior coders and thanks to their help, we were able to build a case for longer deadlines. It took a lot of patience to get through all that, but eventually he was transferred and one of the seniors was promoted up.
