When making your request for an informational interview, be polite, clear, and express genuine enthusiasm. Acknowledge their busy schedule by offering flexibility, such as continuing the conversation over email or phone if an in-person meeting isn’t feasible. Conclude your email with a heartfelt “thank you,” expressing gratitude for their time and assistance. Sign off with a formal closing like “Sincerely” or “Best Regards,” followed by your full name. Before sending, review your email for any spelling or grammar mistakes. If you’re not sending it immediately, save it as a draft for later review.
