We asked Andrew Ko how to write a better resume. He provides the following tips:

  1. Use bold titles and be mindful of time spent. Recruiters usually start by looking at the title held and the length spent at previous employers.
  2. Make sure data is easy to identify. Show only relevant information in an easy to find, tight format on the resume itself.
  3. Keep the formatting nice and professional. Avoid flashy fonts and design, and include bullet points as this makes it easier to read without blocks of text.
  4. Bridge gaps and highlight accomplishments. Show that you did many different tasks at your previous employers.
