Tierra Thornton: “We focus on group interviews for a few reasons. I want to make sure the candidate is asking questions. Also I value a person who is looking for the non verbal cues. I’m looking for compassion. I’m looking for somebody who is serving from the heart. I can teach you how to do the work but I can’t teach you how to love.

After the group interview we pick the candidates we like. Next we have that person follow a day in the life of one of my team. After that I sit down with them and ask “How can I help you build your team?” They get to choose who is on their team. Caregivers embrace this because they get to be part of the decision making process. From there it is history. Welcome to the team!”
