Praise and Forgive Your Employees

Praise is key to motivation.
- Always praise good work. If you don’t give feedback, it’s hard to tell if someone did good or not. The acknowledgement encourages repeating that behavior.
- Avoid being too negative. Constructive feedback is important, but you don’t want that negative emotion being a defining feeling towards your relationship with your coworker.
- Show trust and earn trust in return. By forgiving mistakes and trusting people to do better, they are more likely to return that trust in your own leadership.
