There are some ways you can make more, and it requires building a tremendous following. Rough estimations suggest one million followers earns about $100,000 to $250,000 in revenue, depending on the channel (Fox). And that makes sense— your channel, at this point, outweighs a vast majority of TV programming. YOUR audience is greater than the combined might of many cable TV channels!

CNBC did some calculations by channel, too, based on lickd.co social salaries calculator (seen here: https://lickd.co/blog/social-salary-calculator). They found the following:

Facebook

1,000 followers and 24 million yearly views generates $100,000 annual. The pricing is around $7.60 per 1,000 views, with 45% of that going to Google.

Instagram

5,000 followers and 308 sponsored posts to generate $100,000 annual. Some folks can earn $250,000 PER POST from brands.

TikTok

10,000 subscribers and 270 million views to generate $100,000. This is through the TikTok Creator Fund in select countries.

This is just a small part of what influencers hope to gain, but it isn’t the full picture. Click on the next topic and we’ll explain alternatives for monetization. 😉
