Take for example a hypothetical pair of movie reviewers— let’s call them Jake and John. In planning their brand, they figure out the following points:

(1) Their audience are mostly male, younger, with a preference for action and comedy movies, so they tend to review these first and foremost, with the occasional joke choice for laughs.

(2) They start every video with their logo, a catchy greeting, and an ending slide with graphics and cards for other videos.

(3) They decided that Jake will be the talkative, silly guy while John plays the straight-man, even though in real life they tend to be a bit more similar.

(4) They use similar colors and graphics.

(5) Their channels are Instagram and Youtube.

(6) They have a copyrighted business name “Super Movie Bros”.

(7) A logo of two dudes and a movie icon.

Try imagining a similar scenario for your brand. Think about the niche you picked, the audience you imagine, and the content you make. That’s all going to go into the design of your content, right down to the logo and colors you use.

Tips

  1. Use this example to think of your own content
  2. Consider the logo and colors you want to use
  3. Think about the personality you want in your content
