Talk Clearly and Slowly in Phone Interviews

A lot of times we don’t have our first interview in person, it’s usually over the phone. I can hear your smile. When you answer the phone, I want you to be smiling literally say, Hi, my name is Angela. I want to make sure that you speak clearly and speak slowly. Don’t talk too fast.

• Smile.
• Speak slowly and enunciate your words.
• Practice ahead of time!
• Figure out when you’re going to pause.
• Focus on conveying your message.
