Designing a logo for your flyer is a crucial step in effectively communicating your business identity and distinguishing it from competitors. Begin by opening Google Drawings in a new tab and starting a new project titled “Logo.” In the Image menu, you have the option to search the web for a picture that relates to your product or service or to upload an image from your computer or Google Drive. For example, if your business sells handmade wooden tablet and smartphone stands, look for images that are free to use and not restricted by trademarks or copyrights. After selecting your ideal logo image, use the Crop feature to remove any unwanted parts. You can also reposition, resize, and rotate the image to fit your design. The next step is to add your company’s name using the Word Art function. It’s crucial to include the business name in your logo as it forms the core identity of your brand. Format the text by pressing Shift-Enter to break it into two lines and then Enter again to finalize the formatting. Choose a suitable font for your online business and adjust the text’s position, size, rotation, and color, which can be solid or gradient.

Once your text is set, you can enhance your logo by selecting the background image and applying a border, adjusting its color and thickness to complement your design. To add more visual appeal, use the Shape feature to incorporate symbols and shapes that catch the eye and reinforce your brand image. Google Drawings also allows you to group objects in your logo or lock them in place relative to each other for a cohesive design. To do this, click the first object, hold down the Shift key, and select the other objects, then right-click and choose “Group.” Once you are satisfied with your logo, download it for future use. There are several download options available, but PNG is an excellent choice for web use due to its balance of high quality and small file size, making it ideal for online platforms.
