Brainstorm Your Online Business Ideas
Reading
After evaluating your skills, resources, and the time you have available, it’s time to revisit your brainstorming document to refine your list of potential online business ideas. For instance, if you enjoy thrift shopping, you might consider starting an online thrift store, dedicating Mondays to sourcing interesting items with your car, and listing them for sale on Wednesdays. If you have a knack for photography, camera equipment, and free weekends, starting a photography business could be a viable option. Alternatively, if you possess woodworking tools, access to materials, and a garage for storage, you might explore creating and selling products like wooden picture frames, jewelry boxes, or tablet and smartphone stands. To further organize your thoughts, create a new section in your document titled “Online Business Ideas,” and add at least three specific business concepts derived from your brainstorming. Following this, conduct internet research to explore additional potential business ideas, adding at least two more to your list from this research. Once you have a total of three business ideas, share your document with a partner for feedback. Utilize the sharing options in Google Docs to determine the level of access your partner has, be it editing, commenting, or viewing.
Receiving constructive feedback is a crucial part of refining your business ideas. When your partner shares their brainstorming document with you, open Google Drive in a new tab and locate their document in your shared files. To provide helpful suggestions, turn on the Suggesting mode, which allows those with edit access to propose changes while preserving the original text. Add comments highlighting aspects you like and areas for improvement, ensuring your feedback remains friendly and constructive. Once you receive comments on your own ideas, review the suggestions carefully and decide whether to accept or reject the recommended edits. With your document shared in Suggesting mode, you can easily see all proposed changes. Finally, revisit your brainstorming document to see if there are any additional ideas you want to include or modifications you wish to make, before progressing to the next video.
