Eligibility Criteria:

• Experience with R / Matlab / Scipy / Pandas / Weka, and scripting languages such as Perl, Python.
• Experience with Hadoop / Hbase / Pig or Mapreduce / Bigtable / AzureML a plus

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop large scale distributed software services and solutions in collaboration with teammates.
Participate in the definition of key scenarios, use cases, and end-user experiences
Design services with a strong focus on high availability and scalability, robustness, and observability.
Design, implement and refine chosen solutions in close partnership with Product Management and partner teams.
Identify hard problems, evaluate the pros/cons of practical solutions, and drive decision making.
Drive long-term design thinking for systems and engineering processes with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets
Lead technical projects and model the culture of the team
Diagnose and correct service and application issues
Build software prototypes and conduct experiments to evaluate alternative architectures.
Take end-to-end responsibility for the development, observability, quality, testing, and production readiness of the services you build.
Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through code and design reviews, and by using data/telemetry to make decisions
Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are: well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, reusable, diagnosable, and actively monitored

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
10+ years of industry experience in full-stack, front-end, or back-end software development using Java, C++, JavaScript, or other high-level programming languages
Ability to design, architect, and drive the development of large features or functionality
5+ years of experience building large enterprise-scale complex distributed micro-service systems
Demonstrated technical leadership experience
Proven track record of customer-focused innovation
Excellent technical, cross-group collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and shipping large-scale services with enterprise scale with demanding SLAs.
Strong coding and development skills with experience in at least one of the following languages: Java
Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
Knowledge and experience with messaging, eventing technologies, pub/sub services, streaming and batch systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and passion to solve hard problems as part of a team 
Strong customer focus with ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams to ensure continued customer happiness
AI / Machine Learning, Data Analysis is a plus
Experience working in a mature DevOps, SRE, or Modern Engineering organization supporting internet/hyperscale services
Previous experience working with a global team
Previous experience design and using Data Pipelines
