Ad Grants Introduction
Reading
In this lesson, you embark on a journey to harness the power of digital marketing through Google for Nonprofits and the Ad Grants program. Your goal is to create and launch an Ad Grants marketing campaign, laying the groundwork for a successful digital marketing strategy that amplifies your organization’s impact. To achieve this, you must fulfill several prerequisites, which include requesting a Google for Nonprofits account and activating the Ad Grants program. Additionally, maintaining a secure, high-quality website and building digital marketing campaigns that align with your mission are essential. Active management of your Ad Grants account is also crucial for the campaign’s success. The process begins with completing two interconnected account activations: one for Google for Nonprofits and a second for Ad Grants. These accounts are integral as they provide access to various Google tools and resources.
To get started, visit google.com/nonprofits and confirm your organization’s eligibility for an account. Upon confirmation, request a Google for Nonprofits account, ensuring you’re signed in with the Google account associated with your organization. Google will then verify your organization through TechSoup, requiring you to provide details such as your organization’s main email address, website, nonprofit ID, and contact information. Selecting the primary category and subcategory that best describe your organization is also part of the verification process. After agreeing to the terms and conditions, expect a review period that can span a couple of weeks, after which you will be notified via email about the completion of the process. Once your Google for Nonprofits account is active, proceed to activate Ad Grants. This involves submitting an application to the Google Ad Grants program and completing an Ad Grants eligibility form, providing comprehensive and accurate information about your organization. After submitting your activation and completing the eligibility form, return to the Google for Nonprofits homepage to verify your submission and activate your grant. Google will then review your activation within a few business days. Keep an eye on your email for an invitation to access your new Ad Grants account and to accept the billing profile sent in a separate email. Now it’s your turn: Start by navigating to google.com/nonprofits, request a Google for Nonprofits account, complete the Ad Grants eligibility form, submit your activation, and accept the Ad Grants invitation.
