Reply to emails
Reading
In this lesson, you’ll learn how to effectively manage the emails you receive in your Gmail inbox. When a new email arrives, it will appear at the top of your inbox list. For instance, the email you sent to yourself in the previous lesson should now be visible there. In your inbox, you can see the sender’s name or the company’s name, the subject line, and the date or time the email was sent. If you haven’t opened the email yet, these details will be displayed in bold text. To read an email, simply click on it. Once the email is open, you have the option to reply. The reply icon, which looks like an arrow pointing to the left, is located in the upper right corner of the email. By clicking on this icon, a blinking cursor appears, allowing you to type your response.
If you receive an email that was sent to a group of people and you wish to respond to everyone, you can use the “Reply All” feature. To do this, click the “Reply All” icon, symbolized by two arrows pointing to the left. When using “Reply All,” the email addresses of everyone in the original email will automatically populate in your “To” field. This ensures that your response is sent to all the original recipients. Now it’s your turn to put these steps into action: Open your new email by clicking on it, then click the “Reply” icon, type your message, and press “Send.” After completing these actions, click “Next” to move on to the next video.
