The next step involves inputting values to form your pixel art. This can be done cell by cell, or you can speed up the process by clicking and dragging a cell handle to replicate a value across multiple cells. Keep adding values, following your sample image, until your artwork is fully realized. If during this process you discover the need for more colors, don’t worry – you can easily add additional conditional formatting rules to expand your color palette.
Once your pixel art image is complete, the next step is to give it an extra pop by adding a background color. This can be achieved by creating another conditional formatting rule that targets a specific range of cells, particularly the empty cells surrounding your artwork. To implement this, first select the range of cells you want to apply the background color to. Then, establish a new rule in the conditional formatting menu, setting it to change the cell color if it is empty. Choose a background color that complements your pixel art and enhances its visual appeal.
